Blinkink

Blinkink are a London based production company and animation studio based in Islington. They create short-form video content for their advertising, music, gaming, fashion, and broadcast industry partners.

Their work spans from live action filmmaking to handcrafted traditional animation, to modern CGI and much more. They have worked on a range of projects such as music videos for Drake, Dua Lipa and The Weeknd; as well as award winning commercials “The Bear and the Hare” for John Lewis Christmas and “The Tapestry” for the BBC’s World Cup coverage.

Blinkink can offer a range of opportunities including:

  • Careers talk and Q&A – there are a wide array of job roles within the animation industry, including film directors, animators, production managers, business development managers and many more. Meet a member of the Blinkink team as they talk about the animation industry and their pathway into the sector.
  • Workshop – an interactive animation workshop where students will learn about the life cycle of animation studios through responding to an animated brief
  • Workplace visit – come along to Blinkink’s office in Holloway to meet the team and see an animation studio at work

Multi-award winning London-based studio Lupus Films is one of the UK’s leading film and television production companies. Best known for high-quality family entertainment, Lupus Films works regularly with the finest talent including world famous authors, actors, directors, animators and composers.

Lupus Films’ work includes "The Tiger Who Came to Tea", "The Snowman and The Snowdog", "We’re Going on a Bear Hunt", "Ethel & Ernest" and much more. They have also created a range of resources that can be taught in the classroom, including these resources for pupils aged 8-11

Lupus Films can offer a range of opportunities including:

  • Careers talk and Q&A – your students will hear about the various careers within Lupus Films and the types of skills needed for the roles.
  • Employability workshop – providing a representative to participate in your workshops or panels, will allow your students to be ahead of the game as they will learn how to create a CV fit for the animation industry and what is needed for a showreel. This is a great session for students to prepare for their steps into the animation industry

Breakin Convention

Working with the most respected, innovative and inspirational artists, Breakin' Convention is at the vanguard of the global development of the hip hop theatre genre, through its world-renowned festivals, international touring, professional development, youth projects and educational programme.

Breakin Convention can offer a range of opportunities including:

  • Careers talk and Q&A - Breakin’ Convention Artist Mentors Shay D and Capo Lee are offering to visit schools to discuss careers in the music industry as well as offer free opportunities for artist development in the local area.

These offers include young creatives coming together weekly to either make music from rap to spoken word, create a film with a soundtrack, make a music documentary, work on DJ skills or radio presenting or putting on a live event.

Book Breakin Convention

Fashion Enter

Fashion Enter are an ethical clothing manufacturer and teaching academy, offering courses from L1 - L6. From their factory and studio they have worked with a number of big names in the industry, as well as supporting those new to fashion.

Fashion Enter can offer a range of opportunities including:

  • Careers talk and presentations discussing routes in to the industry and offer tips for kickstarting a career in fashion. As an ethical, social enterprise they can also discuss the role of sustainability and upcycling in the sector.
  • Workplace visit: a tour of Fashion Enter's production facilities and warehouses in Harringay - Unit 4,13 &14, Crusader Industrial Estate, 167 Hermitage Rd, Harringay Warehouse District, London N4 1LZ

Natasha Itzcovitz Styling

Natasha is a Personal Stylist and entrepreneur, dedicated to bringing joy and confidence to what we wear. From Colour & Body Analysis, Wardrobe Edits to Personal Shopping, Natasha helps people from all walks of life feel like the best versions of themselves through fashion. 

  • Suitable for year groups - 7-13
  • Duration - flexible (30-60min)

Natasha Itzcovitz Styling can offer a range of opportunities including: 

  • Careers talk and Q&A – Natasha is happy to share the story of her pathway in to the fashion industry and the challenges and rewards of starting your own business. 
  • How to dress professionally – A discussion from a Personal Stylist on how to dress for job interviews and what to wear in different work environments that feels both professional but still right for students. Students will also have a chance to ask any personal style questions they may have.
  • Speed networking -  A great activity that Natasha does herself at business events to attract new clients. Students can test out their networking and communication skills with their classmates so they’ll feel more confident doing it for themselves in future. The class will be split in half and each student will get three minutes to 'network' with the person sitting opposite before switching, with guidance and feedback from Natasha.
  • Wardrobe Edit taster workshop - Students will get to try out one of the key parts of Personal Styling, a Wardrobe Edit. Natasha talks through how they conduct a Wardrobe Edit with clients (online and in person) so that they can see how this service works and have a go themselves with friends and family, as well as in their own wardrobes. Natasha will bring in a few of her own items as examples.

FORG4MERSAKE is a community arm of the 4Sake Esport Talent Management company. 4Sake manage and represent a range of Esport & gaming YouTubers and content creators. They also involved in brand partnerships, content strategy and content management. FORG4MERSAKE educates young people and the wider community about careers in the  Gaming & Esports industry.

FORG4MERSAKE can offer a range of opportunities including:

  • Careers talk and Q&A – your students can learn about the various roles in the Esports sector, and the entry level pathways. This talk with give insight into talent management of content curators and an opportunity to hear from a professional Gamer.
  • Workshop – a deep dive into the various careers in esports sector where students will gain top tips on how to get their foot in the door and break into the industry.
  • Gaming Events - Mini pop up gaming stands for students to play the most updated gaming consoles and game titles.
