Planning for later life
Talking to family and friends about funeral wishes, organ donation or end of life care can be difficult. Age UK Islington’s Future Matters team can help you set out your wishes in a clear plan and give you space to talk about death and dying.
Through events in the local community, Future Matters raises awareness of death, dying and bereavement and all forms of end of life care planning (advance care plans, wills, powers of attorney, funeral wishes, organ donations). Our trained volunteers also support people to actively plan and write out their wishes for their end of life in an advance care plan (ACP). The completed ACP is then sent to their GP.
Regular death café meetings are also taking place in Islington and are open to all who want the chance to talk about death and dying and planning for end of life care.
