Coronavirus Update

KING’S CROSS CHURCH FOODBANK

As a result of coronavirus, the Food Foundation have found that nearly half (44%) of people are worried about getting the food they need. Existing food banks have also noticed a significant increase in demand, mainly from those who are self-isolating but also from those who have suffered financial hardship in the last few weeks. As a church we want to help those who are already addressing food shortages and reach those in need during this current crisis and so we are partnering with Bankuet and Love Your Neighbour to start a temporary foodbank here in Kings Cross.

Bankuet - The KXC community have given £2,000 to Bankuet over the last few weeks, with donations going to food banks across London. We will continue to partner with Bankuet, with your donations helping to supply King’s Cross Foodbank.

Love your Neighbour - Love Your Neighbour is a church wide social response to the Covid-19 crisis. At KXC we believe that by joining together with other churches visibly and practically at this time, we can achieve more at a faster pace in the way we respond to those suffering at the moment.
