Caspari Foundation supports children and young people with emotional and behavioural barriers to learning which hold back their development. We do this by providing high quality counselling and practical support for children, young people and families, and training and support for people who work with them. Our services can help children and young people with learning and communication difficulties; with emotional difficulties; those who have poor social behaviour and find it difficult to form relationships; those at risk of social exclusion.
Some of the signs we might look for are a lack of interest in learning, difficulty in dealing with adults, disruptive behaviour and feelings of anger or fear.
Our services include: Therapy Sessions
We use educational psychotherapy, a demonstrably effective way of helping children and young people with emotional and behavioural barriers to learning.
Transitions:
Our Transitions project works with children who are, or who are at risk of, finding the transition from primary to secondary school difficult. Support starts during the child’s last two terms at primary school and continues for the first term at secondary school.
Bereavement:
Our Bereavement project supports children and young people who have been affected by bereavement and loss. Training We are an educational therapy teaching centre with a package of training programmes ranging from short courses to a four year part time MA in educational psychotherapy.
