Bright Start Priority Early Learning places are for children who are in need and identified as being a priority by Islington Children’s Services, Whittington Health, early education providers and other health and early help professionals.
Children in these places are fully integrated with their peers in a range of settings, including children’s centres, nursery schools, primary schools, early years centres, childminders and grant-aided community nurseries.
Places are offered alongside the opportunity for parents/carers to access a wide range of Bright Start services that support children’s learning, development and well-being.
The Bright Start Priority Early Learning panels work to coordinate these childcare placements and meet four times a year in September, December, March and June.
