St Paul's Steiner School Kindergartens
The kindergartens provide a caring, homely environment for children aged 3 to 6 years, where they are encouraged to develop physical and social skills.
One of the main tasks of the kindergarten teachers is to foster play where the child can find its relationship to the world in a creative way. Simple toys and natural materials stimulate the use of fantasy and imagination.
The children participate in a wide range of artistic crafts and domestic activities and experience stories, songs, rhymes and rhythmic movement on a daily basis. In this period of development the child is reached primarily through the principle of example and imitation, and formal teaching like reading and writing are only introduced once the child enters Class I.
Each term we apply for the nursery funding grant on behalf of our 3 and 4 year olds. We have a lunch club from 1pm to 3.30pm. Additional fees apply.
