Kinship Families Service
Kinship carers can be grandparents, siblings or any other relative or friend that steps in to bring up children when parents are unable to look after them. Grandparents Plus offers these carers some much needed support, during very challenging times.
Kinship care is extremely important, and kinship carers are a silent, dedicated, amazing army of people who do wonderful things to prevent a child from going into care, often at a moments notice with little or no prior preparation for this often, life changing intervention.
Grandparents Plus provides financial services to make the transition and journey, settling a child into their new home a less daunting one, for kinship carers we provide emotional well being, with online local and national support groups.
We provide a peer to peer telephone line support service for carers whenever the need arises to have a listening ear. We also have an independent advice service providing vitally needed information on benefits, legal matters, contact and more.
Please get in touch if you or anyone you know is a Kinship Carer, and receive the help you so deserve, we are waiting to hear from you.
