I have worked in early years for 26 years as a nursery officer. I have a B.Ed. and NNEB level 3. I strongly believe in supporting children's emotional development to give them the best start in life. Curiosity, awe and wonder and the opportunities to express their feelings and ideas in a safe and secure environment are essential for developing emotional well-being.

I am a member of Forest Childcare with the commitment to outdoor exploration. I have extensive experience as a key worker including planning activities around children's interest to extend their learning.

Daily routines include visiting parks, woodland areas, libraries, stay and play, canal walks and museums.

Can accept childcare vouchers.

How will you support my child?

My childminding setting welcomes children with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) and I am committed to working with parents and other professionals to provide good inclusive practice. My Islington Area SENCO provides me with support, advice and training regarding children with SEND. Parents are encouraged to speak to me about the needs of their child in order to assess and plan what is required.

I have experience in behaviour management, ASD, working with a deaf autistic child. Speech and Language Therapy which includes, PECS, some Makaton, visual timetables, sensory play and Attention Autism. I have worked with child psychologists as a key worker when implementing IHCP.
