How will you support my child?

Our setting welcomes children with SEND and we are committed to working with parents and other professionals to provide good inclusive practice. Our Islington link Area SENCO provides us with support, advice and training regarding children with SEND.

Our SENCO is currently enrolled to attend the SENCO Level 4 qualification and is an Early Years Teacher who also accesses regular SEND training opportunities.

The staff have accessed a range of SEND related training including Down's Syndrome to develop their knowledge and skills. Our training needs are tailored to the children's needs.

We have experience of working with children who have severe and complex needs. We provide differentiated support according to children's individual needs by ensuring there is a short term plan in place to support each child's learning and development.

We work closely with other health professionals and our nursery and children benefit from their input. We have good links with speech and language and the social communication teams, CAMHS and physiotherapists.
