Claude Moraes is Labour Member of the European Parliament for London and Deputy Leader of the European Parliamentary Labour Party (EPLP).
First elected to the European Parliament in 1999, Claude was the first Asian origin MEP. He was reelected in 2009 where he led the London list.
In July 2014 he was elected Chairman of the European Parliament's Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs Committee (LIBE).
