Local Offer
- How will you support my child?
Our setting welcomes children with SEND and we are committed to working with parents and other professionals to provide good inclusive practice. Our Islington link Area SENCo provides us with support, advice and training regarding children with SEND.
Lisa Smyth (Senior Montessori Teacher) is the nursery SENCo and is supported by Jacqui Tsang (Head of Nursery). Joey Haigh, the primary school’s Head of Operations is also the school SENCo.
All our staff are trained in supporting children with speech, language and communication delay. Staff are trained in using a variety of speech and language resources to support children’s development.
Staff are trained regularly on tracking children's ongoing development in all areas of the EYFS and highlighting any signs of delay or SEN for each individual child. We have experience of working with children with speech and language delay, epilepsy, autism, diabetes and Down Syndrome. We deliver a one to one educational intervention programme called ELS (Eureka Learning Systems) for those children requiring additional support.
Each individual child is supported appropriately depending on their level and area of need. Each child is planned for individually to ensure their needs are met and they continue to develop and thrive.
