Age UK Islington
Age UK Islington provides information and support to people aged over 55 in the borough. This includes activities taking place at the Drovers Centre and elsewhere in Islington, such as Sobell leisure centre. Activities include chair-based yoga, keep fit, line dancing, short mat bowls, tai chi and walks.

Black Arrows badminton club offers badminton to people aged 50+
Leisure centres
People aged 60 or over can apply for concessionary membership with GLL, who run Islington’s seven leisure centres.
Leisure centres may offer activities for people aged 55 and over. To find if there is an activity for you go to GLL Islington, choose a leisure centre and then the Over 55’s tab in the Weekly Programme section.
Free swimming is on offer for people aged 60+, Monday-Friday 8.30-4.30 and weekends. This is at the council's leisure centres: Archway leisure centre, Cally Pool, Ironmonger Row Baths.
Sobell leisure centre offers sessions for people aged 60+ on Tuesday, 10.30am-1pm. Activities include badminton, exercise classes, short mat bowls, short tennis and table tennis, and a social area and refreshments.
Walking

10 minutes of activity for older people
10 Today has ten-minute exercise routines aimed at older people. This is through their online videos and the radio.
