Healthy Start - vitamins and food vouchers

Healthy Start is a Department of Health funded scheme which provides low-income families and pregnant women with free vouchers every week. These vouchers can be spent on milk, plain fresh and frozen vegetables, first infant formula and used to collect vitamins for both mothers and children up to the age of 4. Healthy Start - Covid-19 FAQs

In Islington, ALL pregnant women, breastfeeding mums and children under 4 can receive FREE Healthy Start Vitamins, not just those with Healthy Start vouchers. The vitamin tablets for women contain folic acid, vitamin C and D and drops for children contain vitamins A, C and D.

You can pick up vitamins at the following children's centres (CC):

Ambler CC: reopens on 22/02/2021, Monday, 9.30am to 4pm

Archway CC: Tuesday, 8.30am to 3.30pm

Bemerton CC: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 8am to 6pm

Conewood CC: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, 10am to 4pm (from 22/02/21
                                                        only Wednesday and Thursday)

Golden Lane CC: Thursday, 9am to 3pm

Hungerford CC:  Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm

Moreland CC: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday  and Friday, 9am to 3pm

New River Green CCMonday, Tuesday , Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 9am to 3pm

Paradise Park CC: Monday, 8.30am to 4pm

Who is this service for?
Vitamin tablets are available for women trying to get pregnant, pregnant women, and mums up to 1 year after having a baby living in Islington. Vitamin drops are for childred aged 4 or under living in Islington.
