Off Beat is an 8-week introductory drumming workshop designed to help balance, manage anxiety, gain energy and confidence, and feel grounded through group drumming lessons. Each hour-long session will be co-led by both a professional drummer and a trained counsellor.
You will learn everything from how to hold sticks to basic drum patterns, as well the psychology behind the creative process: helping you translate each new skill you learn into a tool to help navigate those turbulent days.
You will leave each session with the confidence and the skills to take you further along in your musical education whilst also gaining a deeper understanding of how to manage anxiety. Sign-posting services will be available to help direct you to any further support you need regarding your mental health.
