The Traumatic Stress Clinic
The Traumatic Stress Clinic was established by the Department of Health as a national centre for post traumatic stress disorder and helps adults who are experiencing stress reactions as a result of either being involved in, or being witness to, a major traumatic event. A multi-professional service including clinical psychologists, and psychotherapists is offered.
Who the service is for:
The service is for adults with post-traumatic stress disorder to multiple traumatic events. The TSC has specialist expertise in working with traumatised refugees and asylum-seekers, survivors of childhood abuse, torture survivors, victims of trafficking, and veterans.
How to get referred:
Referrals can be made from IAPT, C&I's Assessment and Advice Team, or secondary care mental health services.
