Homework Club - Central Library

Free books and computer access, help with reading, ideas and information for parents.

Your local library runs a free drop-in homework club during term time, with staff on hand to help your child with their studies. While we can't tutor children, we can give encouragement and help them to become more self-reliant at completing their homework.

We will set aside a time to listen to your child reading as we know that this encourages them to enjoy books and improve their skills. You can bring in your own book or chose one of ours.

Our Homework Club staff are happy to talk to you about your child's homework and give you ideas on how you can help them, such as study tips and homework websites, but please speak to your child's teacher for advice on how your child is progressing at school.
