Usual Service

Hilldrop Community Centre, located in Tufnell Park in Islington, is a space for local people of all ages and backgrounds. We help those living in the St George's Ward of Islington, especially families and individuals on restricted budgets and struggling with impacts of COVID19.

Our usual activities and services include after school and holiday provision for children, under 5s Stay & Play, support groups & activities, and several community events over the year. We have an ongoing gardening project which welcomes volunteers. We can offer space to hire for parties, meetings, or regular activities.  

Bright Futures are present on Wednesday from 2-4pm alongside the Foodbank

During term-time our Food Hub is a weekly social drop-in where people can share a cooked meal and get involved in activities, with a focus on reducing waste and encouraging people to create their own healthy meals on a budget. It is not a crisis service. Participants are regularly monitored on their needs and referred to relevant support services if required. Opening times/date

Office open 10am – 4pm on weekdays; sessions continue to run on evenings and weekends. After School Club open 3.30-6pm Monday-Friday, Holiday Playscheme open 8.15-5.30 Monday-Friday during school holidays. The centre is closed to the public for annual maintenance during the last two weeks of August.
