Single Homeless Project, Islington Young People's Floating Support Service

Single Homeless Project, SHP, works with men and women in London who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. SHP supports people with a range of needs (often multiple). Floating support is available for those referred with housing related support issues, including those who are experiencing or have experienced domestic violence.

The Young People's Floating Support Service works in partnership with Islington Council to help vulnerable young people whose accommodation may be at risk - those living in temporary or unsecure accommodation as well as those who are in or may be about to leave care. The services offered include help with preventing homelessness, benefits advice, support with training and employment, encouraging health awareness.

There are a number of SHP projects in Islington. The SHP website contains a directory of their services by borough.
