Single Homeless Project, Islington Young People's Floating Support Service
SHP's Islington Young Person's Floating Support Service works with individuals aged 16-24 who are experiencing issues around their housing situation and/or at risk of homelessness. Support may include, but is not limited to; - helping young people understand available housing options - support along the process of applying for and obtaining suitable accommodation - settling into accommodation and to understand responsibilities - help to maintain an existing tenancy if at risk - support to move to more suitable accommodation if unsuitable - provide advice, guidance and support on other areas such as finances and benefits, health, employment, substance use etc. The Young Person's Service works in partnership with Islington Council's housing services, leaving care services in addition to other local services.
