Josie Gomes

CHILDMINDER. Rising Bright Stars Childcare. Degree in Media Performance, level 3 SEN teaching, certificate in BSL (British sign language), CBT, PGCE in Drama and English and years of  experience working with children.

My focal point lies in identifying a child’s strength and using their creativity to support their learning. We believe that learning should be balanced with nutritious food, theory, fun and practical activities. I offer a range of activities to support this such as cooking, gardening, trips to the library, farm, messy play, stay and play, dance and music making to stimulate their mind and body. Children will experience growth in a child friendly and safe environment, they will be given the best help and guidance to kickstart their bright future with the feel of a home away from home atmosphere.

Local Offer

How will you support my child?

My childminding setting welcomes children with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) and I am committed to working with parents and other professionals to provide good inclusive practice. My Islington Area SENCO provides me with support, advice and training regarding children with SEND. Parents are encouraged to speak to me about the needs of their child in order to assess and plan what is required.
