Coronavirus Update

We are able to match residents with local volunteers who may be able to support them with in person and practical support, for example help with shopping or picking up medication.

Staff or volunteers can make an initial referral on someone else’s behalf using the online referral form at Staff, volunteers or residents can also email us directly at or call on 07483 149 519 for more information. Our services are provided Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm. Please note it is best when phoning, to only do this on the weekdays and use the email at weekends.

Wellbeing support. A menu of opportunities are available, including welfare checks, telephone befriending and counselling. You can make a referral at

Usual Service

The Manor Gardens Welfare Trust helps people take action to change their lives for the better. Our services promote physical and mental wellbeing and increase social inclusion.

Wellbeing Service
We promote physical and mental wellbeing by breaking down the stigma around mental health, promoting healthier lifestyles and supporting people to access the care they need.

Health Advocacy
Our bilingual volunteers and Maternity Mentors support refugees and people from newly arrived communities to access health care and live more healthily. We support people affected by FGM.

Bright Beginnings
Part of the Health Advocacy Service, supports women from refugee and migrant backgrounds who are pregnant or have a child under one to improve their health and wellbeing. Our maternity mentors speak Arabic, Bulgarian, Czech, Kurdish, Russian, Turkish, Somali and Spanish, as well as English. Contact: Jana Gigi,; 020 7561 5297.

Stroke Service
We support stroke survivors and their families and carers to regain skills, access services and take part in local life.

Friendship Network
We befriend isolated older people by matching them with volunteers who visit for a chat.

Our Pre-school gives children aged 2-5 a better start in life.

We have a small staff of 35 full and part-time workers. In 2015-16 we worked with 332 local volunteers throughout the year. We made a difference to over 8,331 beneficiaries last year. We attended 1,408 outreach events. We trained 3,470 people at workshops and 70% of our beneficiaries are from BMER communities. We worked with over 100 partners.
