Little Feet Big Leap. My name is Chelsea and I am based in Canonbury, close to Essex Road and Upper Street. I am also a mummy to my 2 children, Francesca who is 6 and Chase who is nearly 11 years old. Both are in full time school.
I offer a stimulating and nurturing home from home childcare setting where we have both structured and free play. We have a mix of heuristic play activities and lots of different messy play.
I work full time with an assistant who has been with me for 6 years. We visit local stay and plays every day and regularly attend soft play sessions. We also spend a lot of time in the garden or outside. We take trips to the farm, the zoo, parks and aquarium. Parents are informed of our activities in advance. We love going for nature walks and going on adventures. We regularly go to the New River walk to visit and feed the wildlife, so we generally spend a lot of time outside.
I provide stimulating and educational activities for each individual child but most of all I provide children with a safe and fun home from home setting where they feel like part of the family. I use learning journeys which are updated regularly with all your child's achievements including photos and art work.
I have been a childminder for 10 year and also worked as a nanny for 15+ years. I have experience with children aged between newborn to 10 years, not just as work but as a mummy too. I have experience working with children with allergies, intolerances as my daughter cannot have dairy or soda. I also have experience working with children with special needs, for example ASD. We also have experience working with children with English as a second language.
