Summer Club

Activities to include sport and such as dance, football, netball, basketball and cricket, as well as language classes, choir practice and a multimedia enrichment project with a focus on Mother Tongue, climate change and movement. An exhibition for parents will be held as part of the club to showcase the artistic work. A healthy meal will be provided each day and all meals will be halal compliant.

Food Bank

Light Project Pro International is running a foodbank for local residents in the Caledonian and Holloway Wards. You do not need to register beforehand, just turn up on Wednesdays, 10.30am to 12.30pm; or contact us if you are shielding.

Other Services

Light Project International is an educational charity which runs a wide range of projects for people of all ages. Its aim is to improve the educational opportunities of local communities. It provides a Saturday homework club for children from a range of communities (mostly living in Islington) who require extra help with subjects such as English, French, Maths, Information Technology and other curriculum subjects.

It also provides trips for children during the school holidays, a youth club, football sessions, information meetings for parents seeking to understand the British education system, Esol classes and conference events on subjects such as health, domestic violence, and drugs and alcohol.

Light Project International also provides maths and jobsearch courses for unemployed young people, aged 16 plus.

Cost Details
Summer club: Free for those eligible for benefits-related FSM and £7.50 daily for those not on free school meals. Homework club is free, charges for day trips (please enquire).
Who is this service for?
Summer club: young people, 12 to 16 years. People of all ages from the local community in Islington. Homework club is for children aged 5 to 14
