The Brandon Centre - Counselling and Psychotherapy Services

The Brandon Centre provides free of charge counselling and psychotherapy services for Islington 14 to 21 year olds at Lift and Platform youth hubs and at the Drum in Whitecross Street. There are two clinical psychologists working at Lift and Platform and a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist working at the Drum.

Appointments at Lift are on Mondays, at Platform on Tuesdays and Fridays and at the Drum on Thursdays and Fridays.

We offer structured interventions including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Inter-Personal Psychotherapy in addition to exploratory pyschotherapy. All our interventions are time-limited and can be offered for up to one year.

Brandon Connect Outreach
We provide a flexible outreach service to 16-25 year old men in Islington who are struggling to engage with education, employment and training, mainly due to moderate to severe social anxiety that is preventing them accessing such opportunities. The service is offered on Wednesdays and Fridays by a psychotherapist who can meet the young person in their home, in the community or in a confidential therapy space. The interventions are goal focused and draw on a solution focused, cognitive behavioural and psychotherapeutic approaches.

Arsenal in the Community
A psychotherapist provides on site counselling and psychotherapy at the Arsenal Hub for 16-25 year olds with mental health problems that are affecting their participation in Arsenal in the Community programmes. The service is available on Thursdays.
