Housing Benefit Appeals

If you would like to appeal against the decision about your housing benefit you must write to the Benefits Service within one month of the date of the decision letter.

You can:

  • complete the online form
  • visit us at one of our Area Housing Offices
  • write to us at Benefits Service, London Borough of Islington, PO Box 34750, London, N7 9WF

An appeal must be signed by you. You must say the decision you are appealing against, and the reasons why you are appealing.

If you appeal against the decision, the appeal will be heard by an independent appeals service.
