Active Spaces

In line with Government guidance all Active Spaces activities are suspended until further notice – you should not be leaving your house unless absolutely necessary.

We do hope to be able to share some online fitness activities with you shortly so please keep checking this page.

Activities thoughout term time 2020. Below programme from Monday 13th January 2020

Join in the fun on Andover, Bemerton and Mayville estates and get physically and socially active!

Weekly sessions. No need to book, just turn up

FREE group activity sessions led by experienced and qualified instructors

Andover Estate

Mondays

Tennis Fit for All with Access to Sports

  • 10-11am

  • Sue Davis Pitch, Seven Sisters Road, N7 7QD

  • Come along and take part in tennis based activities. All ages and abilities welcome. Children must be aged 3+ years and accompanied by an adult. Open to all abilities and all equipment provided

Women's Only Box Fit with Better Leisure

  • 12-1pm

  • Andover Community Centre, Corker Walk, N7 7RY

  • Boxing moves combined with aerobic exercise for a great total body workout. Strengthen your body, build stamina, and burn fat at this motivating, non-competitive class. Great for stress relief and building confidence.

  • All abilities welcome. Equipment provided.

Family Fit Session with Arsenal in the Community

  • 4-5pm

  • Andover Community Centre, Corker Walk, N7 7RY

  • Children must be accompanied by an adult

  • Fun and exciting one-hour multi-sports session. Enjoy lots of fun games to improve co-ordination and fitness

 

Tuesdays

Active Meditation Exercises for the over 50s with Healthy Generations

  • 10-11am

  • Andover Community Centre, Corker Walk, N7 7RY

  • Meditation exercises for health and wellbeing in every day life

 

Wednesdays

Men's Football with Access to Sports

  • 1.30-3.30pm

Mondays

Gentle Pilates for the over 50s with Healthy Generations

  • 10-11am

  • Mildmay Community Centre, Woodville Rd, Mayville Estate, London N16 8NA

  • For men and women. Improve strength, stamina and energy. For better health, well being and relaxation

  • Please bring your own mat. If you need help with this just let us know

 

Wednesdays

Men's Football with Access to Sports

  • 11am-1pm

  • Love to play football? Want to get back in the game? Come and join in for a kickabout

 

Thursdays

Walking Football for Women and Men with Arsenal in the Community

  • 10.30-11.30am

  • Bronte House Sports Pitch, Mayville Estate, Mathias Road, N16 8LG

  • Join us afterwards for light refreshments before indoor bowls in Mildmay Community Centre at 12pm

 

Bemerton Estate

Tuesdays

Total Body Workout with Arsenal in the Community, ages 18+

  • 9-9.50am

  • Jean Stokes Community Centre, Carnoustie Dr, Islington, London N1 0DX

  • Circuits based workout for all fitness levels. Work at your own pace on a variety of exercises. A great way to help you get in shape and maintain fitness

 

Thursdays

Gentle Keep Fit to Music for the over 50s with Healthy Generations

  • 12.30-1.30pm

  • Jean Stokes Community Centre, Carnoustie Dr, Islington, London N1 0DX

  • Gentle exercise to help you to regain or maintain your fitness, at your own pace. Increase energy levels and improve strength and stamina

 

Fridays

Dance Aerobics with Better Leisure

  • 9 - 10am

  • Jean Stokes Community Centre, Carnoustie Dr, Islington, London N1 0DX

  • Dance yourself fit with this aerobic workout, combining exercise and choreography and catchy music. Keeping you motivated every step of the way. Learn new moves, gain confidence and feel good.
