Coronvirus Update: The Islington Turkish Kurdish Women’s Welfare Group (ITKCW Group)
In accordance with Government Guidelines, ITKCW has re-arranged the ways services delivered in order to prioritise both staff and client’s safety. All face to face sessions and group activities had to be postponed until further notice.

Usual Service:
We are a volunteer led Turkish, Kurdish and Cypriot women's organisation providing social support and advice to vulnerable members of our community. Established in 1987, the overall aim of our organisation is to promote the educational, social and health needs of Turkish speaking women. Our group meets every Thursday at the Durham Road Community Rooms, providing social and wellbeing activities. We also offer advocacy, advice, signposting and support in accessing other services. Every year in addition to this we organise events and occasional outings. Previous achievements include winner of a housing award, and we published a book in partnership with All Change.
Drop-in session by providing advice and guidance on DWP, PIP, welfare, housing and Immigration advise with local MP Health, Arts & Crafts and educational activities Women ONLY classes and workshops Advocacy, advise and signposting and support in accessing other services Multicultural events. |
