Coronavirus support:

Eritrean Community in the UK have joined with local Eritrean volunteers who can help to drop shopping and medications to homes for those over 70 years old and those who have medical conditions and are living by themselves.  Please contact or 02077007995 for help.

They have also established a group chat with our MTSS Saturday school parents which is good to share personal experiences, and how their children copping, and getting educational resources on line by helping and encouraging each other - so building confidence.  The group include our Saturday school teachers and from next Saturday we are planning that our students to get online 1-2-1 educational support from them.

ECUK are able to support clients in applying to Universal Credit, who had been working as self-employed, including minicab drivers who have stopped working due to the outcreak.

Usual Service:

Provides information and advice for members of the Eritrean community in the UK. Subjects covered include welfare benefits, housing, domestic violence, education, health, employment and immigration. Interpretation and translation services. Works with young people (5 to19 years), includes a homework support club, mother tongue classes, and various sporting activities - all on a Saturday. Women's counselling sessions. Please ring for further details. Open Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 5.30pm.
