The Association was formed in 1974 with the original intention of providing sheltered housing for retired civil servants. This later expanded to include general needs housing and our waiting lists are open to people who work in any area of the public sector, such as the NHS, education, ambulance and police services, local authorities, as well as the civil service. We also house non-public sector people who are nominated by local authorities in some areas where we own our properties.
We now have 441 properties in ownership and management throughout Greater London, Glasgow and Edinburgh and aim to provide housing of a high quality with affordable rents.
Crown prides itself on its high standard of service to tenants and its commitment to equality and diversity.
