Islington Parents' Voice Forum

Information, signposting, support, prevention and empowerment!

Message to all Parents and Carer’s from Cllr Michelline Ngongo (Lead Member for People Services)

Islington Parents’ Voice Forum is an open, online Forum (via Zoom) to give parents and carers the chance to say what you think about services for children in Islington, what you think is working well, what could be done differently and how parents can be more involved in informing future priorities. It will also be an opportunity for you to find out more about services you may not already know about and how they work.

Your views will be used to inform discussions with services and other Council leaders about future developments.

A summary of your views will be published on the Council’s website (this information will be anonymised) and the action taken in response (‘You said, we did!’)

Islington Parent’s Voice Youth Safety Events

Islington Parents' Voice Forum will be hosting youth safety events over the summer about how we as a community, the council and other organisations can come together to support each-other in protecting our young people from harm and exploitation.

This is particularly significant this summer as London has seen a surge in cases of Serious Youth Violence. We want to protect all of our children whilst recognising that those children from Black, Asian and Ethnic backgrounds have been overrepresented as victims.

We want to come together and tackle this situation so that our children are safe this summer and beyond.

We are interested in what parents and the community have to say. Your voice is important.
