KMEWO, Kurdish and Middle Eastern Women's Organisation in Britain

Coronavirus update:

In accordance with Government Guidelines, KMEWO had to re-arrange the ways services delivered in order to prioritise both staff and client’s safety. While it is essential to continue providing support services to vulnerable women and girls from the Kurdish, Middle Eastern and North African communities in London and Islington. However, all face to face sessions and group activities had to be postponed until further notice.

Alternatively, front line One to One VAWG Advice and Advocacy Support, Counselling therapy and Employability support will be provided over telephone and online, including via video calls.  We have made all necessary arrangements to enable staff to provide quality services remotely.

We are in the process of temporarily transferring group activities online as much as possible, this will include plans to deliver guided Exercise and educational classes in order to continue supporting service users and avoid further feelings of isolation and loneliness at this difficult time.
