Health information for children who are electively home educated

Islington School Health Services are available to support every home educated child.  If you would like to access any support, or would like to speak with a school nurse contact the Nursing Team and a School Nurse will get back you within 48 hours.

You can book an appointment to see a School Nurse: they run School Health clinics in the local community during term time and the school holidays.

Emotional Health and Wellbeing

COVID-19 has been a challenging time for everyone, and we are aware that some children may be struggling. If you have any concerns about your child’s emotional wellbeing, please contact our Social, Emotional and Mental Health Services by calling 020 7527 7400 between 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

Kooth is a free online counselling and emotional well-being support service providing young people aged 11-18 years (up to 19th birthday) in Islington with a free, safe and secure means of accessing information and support from a professional team of qualified counsellors.

School Age Vaccinations

If your child has missed any school age vaccinations you can book an appointment at a catch-up clinic.

Flu Vaccinations

Flu vaccinations are being provided now for all children from age 4 – 11/12 (those in school years reception to year 7). You can make an appointment at a community clinic for a flu vaccination.

Drug and Alcohol Issues

IYPDAS offers one-to-one targeted support and treatment to young people affected by drug and alcohol issues.

They can also support families impacted by a young person's drug and alcohol issues and can provide peer professional support and consultation to partner agencies engaged with young people in need.

The service is free and confidential.
