There are local services that can provide advice and support for young asylum seekers and refugees:

Alone in London can help with accommodation for young people who are homeless or at risk of being homeless.

Islington Law Centre can provide advice on asylum, immigration and human rights law.

Refugee Council has information on all aspects of asylum and immigration matters, welfare benefits, identity and travel documents as well as on refugee community organisations. Their website has various resources for asylum seekers and refugees. If under 18 and looking for advice contact the Childrens Section on T: 020 7346 1134.

UK Border Agency website has information on how to apply for permission to stay in the UK.

Children’s Legal Centre can provide information for migrant children about their rights and their education in the UK. Look at their website or call the Helpline

Citizens Advice Bureau has information on immigration on their website.
