Foster a child

Fostering is caring for someone else’s child in your own home. Foster carers look after babies, children and young people who are often distressed about being separated from their family. Foster carers keep children healthy and safe and help them develop their life skills.

Being an Islington foster carer can be challenging but it is a hugely rewarding and satisfying role. You will help shape a child’s future and will be rewarded with the knowledge that you have made a real difference and given a child the best possible start in life. All carers receive generous allowances, 24-hour support and ongoing training opportunities.

You can read more about fostering and the process by looking at our dedicated fostering webpages.
