Children's Occupational Therapy (OT)
A children's occupational therapist works with children and young people with a range of physical, sensory or learning difficulties. These therapists work within multi-disciplinary teams and parents can contact them directly. Occupational therapists are skilled at assessing and providing treatment and help with physical functions (such as having a bath or using the toilet), play, and progress at school. Occupational therapists can also assess your child to see if they need specialist equipment such as a special chair. There are also Occupational Therapists who are based at Special Schools.
